The Study
The purpose of this quantitative study is to determine the prevalence of moral injury among Veterans diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Research Question 1: What is the prevalence of moral injury in Veterans diagnosed with PTSD?
Research Question 2: What is the difference in prevalence of moral injury between combat and non-combat Veterans diagnosed with PTSD?

Research Question 3: What is the difference in prevalence of moral injury between male and female Veterans diagnosed with PTSD?

Research Question 4: What is the difference in prevalence of moral injury among Veterans in the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Merchant Marines, and Navy diagnosed with PTSD?

Research Question 5: What is the difference in prevalence of moral injury among age groups of Veterans diagnosed with PTSD?

As of December 31, 2025, the initial cohort number to do the initial data reduction and analyses has been reached! Thank you for everyone who participated! Publication of the study's findings are expected to be published by the summer of 2026.
