FEB 10, 2019 (Mesa, AZ)
East Valley Chapter 8 of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) recently donated 50 backpacks filled with personal hygiene and basic life needs to the Mesa Veterans Resource Center (MVRC), along with three boxes of additional items for distribution to homeless and otherwise needy veterans. The donation was enabled by a team building seminar at Culinary Dropout in Tempe, AZ, whose leader incorporated building the backpack kits into the team building activities of the group.
DAV Chapter 8 and the Mesa Veterans Resource Center are part of the East Valley Veterans Network.
